As you may have already heard, a list of email addresses and passwords previously captured by hacks was published on the Internet yesterday. It involves millions of users worldwide and there is a chance that your data is also included.
We are informing you of this as a warning, not because you have been hacked or because we have found problems. By checking to see if your e-mail address(es) are among them, you can take precautions now to avoid problems.
On the website Have I been Pwned you can check if your information has been published. You can search by your domain name or by specific e-mail addresses.
If your e-mail address appears in the list, we recommend that you start by changing the password of your e-mail box and then of the various websites where you have used the combination of this e-mail address and this password as login data.
Of course, it is always preferable to use the same combinations of these two data as little as possible, as this will minimize the chances of misuse. But then again, we're all human, aren't we?
If you have any questions as a result of this e-mail, feel free to give us a call.
